4th of July

Updated: Nov 20

The 4th of July, or Independence Day, is a holiday in the United States that celebrates the country's birthday. This day is full of activities like fireworks, parades, BBQs, music, festivals, and decorations. You also need to know that since it's going to be a festive day, it's going to mean that it's going to be a day full of sugary temptations and compelling treats, so you better look out for yourself.

When it was time for the 4th of July parade, I changed my pump and sensor since they were ending soon, and I wanted neither my pump nor my sensor to stop working in the middle of my fun. I kept making sure my sugar was on track all the time. I couldn't figure out the number of carbs in some foods, so I tried to estimate it according to the portion, but I also had to make sure that I wasn't injecting too much insulin into my body to prevent any low glucose.

I received lots of sweets by the end of the parade, And that became not only fun but helpful because, on my way back to our car, I began feeling low. I was lucky to have the candy we collected from the parade. So don't forget to pack everything you need, even if it is only a quick trip to the grocery store
